The Monster in Marie's Head | Jennifer Zelayandia
The Monster in Marie’s Head is a book about a little girl who is dealing with anxious thoughts (what many therapists may call “distorted thoughts”). Throughout the story Marie, the main character, is challenged by the monster in her head bringing up different worries. Eventually Marie is able to name her monster and send him packing. Giving a name and image to anxious thoughts can help a child to understand them and cope. Included in purchase: Story as summarized as well as three activities at the end of the book that can be used by parents, teachers, therapists, or other helping adults with the children in their life.
