No Good Dragon Goes Unpunished
No Good Dragon Goes Unpunished | Rachel Aaron
9 posts | 8 read | 5 to read
When Julius overthrew his mother and took control of his clan, he thought he was doing right by everyone. But sharing power isnt part of any proper dragons vocabulary, and with one seat still open on the new ruling Council, all of Heartstriker is ready to do whatever it takes to get their claws on it, including killing the Nice Dragon who got them into this mess in the first place. To keep his clan together and his skin intact, Julius is going to have to find a way to make his bloodthirsty siblings play fair. But theres more going on in Heartstriker Mountain than politics. Every family has its secrets, but the skeletons in Bethesdas closet are dragon sized, and with Algonquins war looming over them all, breaking his clan wide open might just be the only hope Julius has of saving it.

Fun series, with lots of twists and turns. I enjoy the characters a lot, and can even put up with the romance as it isn't too steamy.

Getting sick over the weekend wasn‘t fun, but being forced to take a break from all the important adulting stuff gave me some bonus reading time so yay for that! Rachel Aaron‘s Last Dragon Standing, the final book in her Heartstrikers series, is epic in a theatrical, pull all the stops way, which made me feel like I had an exciting adventure even though I was mostly just lying in bed. If you need a sick day, take it with the Heartstrikers!

My #NewReleaseMadness continues—a month-long streak of new releases I want to read coming out every single week, woo-hoo! But the first new release on my TBR was over 500 pages sooo I am now three books behind already. 😓 Anyway, I‘m finally going to start my second new release, Last Dragon Standing—the finale to Rachel Aaron‘s super fun dragon family drama series (released March 1, 2018). Eeeee!

I thought Heartstrikers #2 took the series up a 100 notches, but to steal a phrase from the author, this one takes "a dramatic turn for the awesome"! In #3 the story gets even more epic, more intriguing, more everything. So so so much page-turning magical dragon fun to be had here.

Third in Aaron's series featuring Julius (the nice dragon!) and Marcie. It picks up right where book 2 left off, and takes the reader on a non-stop whirl of politics, life lessons and brings home some sharp consequences for previous decisions. Further mysteries are hinted at, and frankly I can't wait for #4!

Third in Rachel Aaron's series featuring Julius and Marci. Picking up immediately where book #2 left off, this is a non-stop ride through consequences, secrets, politics and magic. I'm already impatient for book 4!

This book was amazing! I can't believe the author crammed so much plot, character development, and world development into one book. This series is getting better with each book and if you like books that take the urban fantasy troupe and overhauls it so much that it barely qualifies as urban, this book is for you! A new dragon council, a new seer, and so much action, it's a great read. 5/5 stars
