The frames are all ready for my son to diagram sentences from the tagged book. Somewhat archaic skill, but I still find it useful (and fun) so I pass it on to my children.

BookmarkTavern An excellent book to use! 👍🏻 4y
Bits It is fun! (Lol said the nerd.) 😂 4y
LibrarianRyan I have never in my life had to diagram a sentence. Josh laughs at me because he had to do it all the time. 4y

ImperfectCJ @LibrarianRyan We were one of the last years to have a dedicated grammar class for both 7th and 8th grade, and that was the only time I was ever asked to diagram. I also memorized the helping verbs, which I can still recite. I think diagramming has helped me with learning other languages, but I don't think the list of helping verbs has been as useful. 4y
ImperfectCJ @Bits It's so satisfying to put everything in its place! 4y
ImperfectCJ @ozma.of.oz I actually haven't read this one, it's just what our grammar text offered for practice. I think I stopped reading the series at Mariel of Redwall. Seemed like a huge commitment to read them all. 4y
BookmarkTavern It really is! I think there are like 22 of them! 😂 4y
ImperfectCJ @ozma.of.oz And they're not little, either. That shelf at the library was so intimidating! 4y
TEArificbooks My hubby and I diagrammed sentences in school. My kids new school makes them too. But the public schools don‘t and don‘t teach cursive. So glad we found their new school. 4y

The 17th book of the Redwall series, which is a series I read most of in middle school and sadly haven't touched since. I should do something about that... #novemberbythenumbers
