bailedNo no no no no. I was quite enjoying this until the most recent chapter which was super problematic and offensive to people with disabilities. So much so, especially in the audiobook version where Haddish does this horrible voice, that I cannot continue reading this. I'm surprised to see so many positive reviews that don't even MENTION this as a caveat. Really disappointing.
pick2017 #128 NF audio interesting concept and supporting evidence. I really enjoyed the sections on raising children and corporate identity. I think I would like to reread but in text form for slower digestion.
The overall flow of this story was brilliant. I loved how the struggle to become who one was meant to truly be was constantly being fought. In the end the characters were stronger for everything they were felt and over came. I look forward to the next book for sure! 4y
