Though this occasionally felt bogged down by excessive medical jargon, the story was beautifully written and included painfully honest insight into the slow process of dying from a disease that is almost always fatal. But the section of the book I found most heartbreaking was the epilogue, written by Kalanithi's wife, which describes the final days of Kalanithi's life and what it's been like for her to try to move on without him.
