That last story, “The October Widow,“ was perfect for the season! So much goodness in this collection, as always. I love Angela Slatter!!!

Some of the stories that leaned into the Lovecraftian really creeped me out; definitely appropriate for #necronomathon! There was also a Southern-esque #undead story that I really enjoyed.

When I was working in a big box bookstore it felt like every day some celebrity came out with a children‘s book and most were pure crap. Ever since then I‘ve stayed away from celebrity authors but this one has piqued my interest.
