I don't read a lot of manga, but this looks pretty good. I'm enjoying it so far, and I'll finish it by the end of the day.

Revised, redesigned, and re-released for 2025, my Watty Award Sci Fi winning novel!

In comparison to other manga series I read, this one feels more “serious” (it has fewer funny moments and the characters are competing against each other), and that was hard to get into. Also the art felt dark and hard to follow, and there weren‘t enough female characters.
I really enjoyed this series, more so than a lot of older comics I've read recently. Batman is settling into his role in Gotham when a villain known as the Reaper starts to terrorize the city. A vigilante from the past, the Reaper's return rattles Batman, as he is a violent, murderous reflection of our dark knight. Batman has to reconcile with his own self-imposed limits while also confronting Joe Chill in a fascinating side story.
I love how in the opener, Anya has low key been helping them out so much without saying anything or giving anything away so I'm wondering if at any point the adults will figure it out.
Yor is amazing and the fact that we see her in action, continuing from last volume, is fantastic as she gets her continued moment to showcase her skills, when most of the volumes have all been Twilight.
With 6ish days left. We'll see how much I can read tomorrow.
I'm now 13 volumes into Naruto and it honestly has no business being as good as it is. Love it when people make quality media aimed toward youth that takes on deeper topics.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.5/5)
Just as I wasn‘t a fan of Nightfall‘s plotting against Yor, I disliked Becky‘s attempted home-wrecking even more. This volume was still lots of fun, and the chapter focusing on Bond was definitely the best part of this book!

I don‘t know what it is about this series but each story quickly grabs my attention and just keeps it there until I can finish the whole volume. I loved the weird way they‘re approaching clearing out gates and trying to get him to level up. I can‘t wait to see what happens as he tries to continue to keep his experience and skill a secret because it‘s clearly not going exactly how he wanted.

Heard very little about this series but am REALLY enjoying it. Very interesting take on vampires!
