pickI read this because I was outraged to learn that it occasionally made it on banned book lists, not because of anything to do with its holocaust content, but because it‘s aimed at older readers and people think picture books aren‘t appropriate for them.
I‘m super glad I did read it though, because it‘s a powerful piece of historical fiction, and I 💯 trust that both the words and the art will speak to MG and YA readers!
