This book.Oh my god, this book.I probably read it...once a week when I was a kid. This book transported me to Kirrin Island, and the Famous Five's adventuring. This is definitely the book that led me to think that reading was something that was more fun than anything else!

Lizpixie Famous Five were one of my first reading obsessions too!🙌 3y

Today's #jumpstart2021 prompt was #bookthatstartedyourreadingobsession. For me it was more an author, Judy Blume. I remember just loving the Fudge books so much. But I read anything I could get my hands on, and if I didn't have books, I'd read cereal boxes. Now that I have another little, who seems to love books (and cereal) as much as his mommy, I think I'm going to seek out this series for him when he's a tad older.

Lizpixie Nice! I wasn‘t a Judy Blume reader at all, I was more the fantasy & adventure type. 3y
Prairiegirl_reading I loved Judy Blume as a kid too. 😄 3y
AmberWB I LOVED Judy Blume! 3y
Clwojick I agree! I think Freckle Juice and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing were my favourites. 😍 3y

#JumpStart2021 #BookThatStartedYourReadingObsession I was absolutely obsessed with this series when I was 7yrs old! I read & reread every book my local library had. It seemed at times I was bringing them back just to reborrow them. My favourites were Ozma Of Oz & TikTok Of Oz. The world was so vivid in my mind, I could see the queen that had a different head for every day & the Wheelers just terrified me. Highly recommend for kids of all ages🙌

EdnaC I always loved Jack Pumpkinhead of Oz. It was a later one. Not wrote by Baum but I loved it. 3y
