Definitely the conclusive work on Winston Churchill. Obviously Roberts has out done himself in terms of investigation and research. The book is extremely detailed (many times to a tedious and excessive degree) but a fun read nonetheless. At 982 pages, it's definitely not a short or quick read but I enjoyed it all the same.

This was a fun little listen. I‘m not usually into war books, but this one was unusual enough 😊

This book is the inspiration for the movie of the same name. The story of a select group of British Special Operations SOE forces under the command of Winston Churchill and World War 2‘s Operation Postmaster. The task was to steal German U-Boat support ships off the coast of African limiting Germany‘s ability to refuel their U Boats. Much more detailed than the movie.

In my classroom, this book can help students understand emotional growth, encourage discussions about coping mechanisms, and emphasize the importance of friendship and creativity in personal development.
