Happy Holiday to Slovenia!🎉❤

We celebrate Culture Day also called Prešeren's Day. It is important holiday to celebrate our culture, literature, and our native language Slovenian.
It is also anniversary of the death of our national poet France Prešeren. He also wrote our national anthem. It is the 7th stanza from the poem called A Toast.

maich We are also so proud that Slovenian anthem was played in Beijing today on our holiday and yesterday. We already won 3 gold medals on Winter Olympic Games this year. It is the perfect gift for Slovenia for today holiday.❤❤💕🎉🎉 2y

Geenie No poets days or culture days, but in America on Martin Luther King Day the schools are closed as we celebrate an African American preacher and black rights activist who fought and died for black freedom and equality in America. Have you heard of this day there? 4y

maich @Lcsmcat We have that too. For us is culture very important because we are a small country. 4y

maich @Yoshi-and-a-book Yes I heard. We had similars days here to celebrate. Some of them are free days but some of them we go to work. Beside Preseren's day we also have Trubar Day (he wrote first book in slovenian) and Maister day(he is politican and help that we connected another area where lived our people) 4y
