Jingle All the Way: A Novel | Debbie Macomber

This is my third Macomber & I'm not sure why she‘s so popular. The writing isn‘t great, it‘s adequate I guess. The characters are ok. I liked Asher more than Everly. It‘s a quick read with some amusing parts, mostly with Asher. I've collected a lot of the author's books, including a bunch of the Cedar Cove series since I enjoyed the tv series, so I‘ll keep reading her, and hopefully will enjoy some of her other books more than this one.

Really fun enemies to lovers rom-com, closed-door mystery! The love story is easy to root for and full of chemistry. I started it just after the holidays and it is really cozy! I rarely read physical books anymore so this took me a while to finish as I lean towards audio mostly. But I would read another Ally Carter!

47/100 I've seen a couple of reviews that said they liked the shorter version, more novella than novel, as opposed to the first two longer stories. I disagree, I don't feel the author had the space to adequately flesh out his characters or product a compelling mystery. I am still enjoying the series, and I'll read it if a fourth one is published, but I hope its given more space to develop next time. 3 ⭐⭐⭐💫 #Read2025 #SeriesLove2025

KathyWheeler I agree with you — I liked the two longer ones better. 3w

“Shoshana Nambi‘s narrative includes universal themes of community and belonging with the unique cultural traditions of Ugandan Judaism. Set against Uganda‘s picturesque geographical backdrop, this story authentically portrays the Abayudaya community, challenging conventional perceptions of Jewish identity and emphasizing the diversity within global Judaism.“ Read the full review here: https://wowlit.org/on-line-publications/review/xvii-1/10/
