As Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Strange is responsible for blocking legions of demons and other magical bad actors from reaching Earth. When murdered, this blockade is rendered void, and all evil is unhindered from invading our planet. But who killed Strange? A younger version of the Dr is unleashed via an insurance spell to solve his older self‘s murder! A truly unique and fun read, like a mystical ‘whodunnit‘. Recommended!

TieDyeDude I would have liked a smaller story, instead of throwing in a seemingly random, multi-dimensional threat that really didn't pose much of a challenge, but this was still a super fun concept and execution. 1y
WeAreLegion I hear you, though the ‘b story‘ didn‘t bother me, I was too taken by the murder mystery and ‘young‘ Strange‘s befuddlement with how his life turned out. 1y

Very cool story. Dr. Strange is murdered, but he removed his body for a week from the timeline so he could set his affairs in the case of his death. It, of course, correlates with a interdimensional, world-ending threat, but the murder mystery is really cool.

“The Way to Dusty Death” is an evocative title to a fantastic story. Had this been the only tale in this volume I would have given it a hearty thumbs up. Unfortunately, there are quite a few more stories of Spidey and Doc Strange from the ‘60s to ruin the average. If you are a fan of both characters, or enjoy the snappy dialogue and naive plotting from Marvel‘s early days, this book is worth checking out.

The comics collected here were good, and I could just about see how they tied the story together, but it felt like it was taking some very big & unexplained leaps and just presuming we'd keep up.

Good for existing Marvel fans, probably, but for me (who's trying to learn more about the Marvel universe than just what's in the movies) it's a little lacking. Don't get me wrong; still very good... just not what I'd hoped.

I wasn't a big fan of the art style but I liked the premise. I like the manga pictured better that I also finished this weekend. This is what happens when too many library books are due at the same time 😁

JenlovesJT47 Hey! Can you give me some ideas for books you‘d like for the cozy swap? I don‘t want to send you stuff you already have. 🙃 5y

Shadowfat I can do that @JenlovesJT47 ! I'll think of some in the next day or two and email you. I'm a big fan of cozy mysteries so I've read a couple of popular series 😀 5y
JenlovesJT47 Cool, please send as soon as you can because I‘m having surgery next week and want to get it mailed out before that if I can 🙃 5y

Doctor Strange, Wong, and Night Nurse team up to figure out Who Shot Dr Strange (and why). Iron Fist has a goofy cameo at the beginning. Very enjoyable.

rretzler I have to laugh at the Sherlock reference in a Dr. Strange comic. Of course, the comic was written way before BBC Sherlock and Marvel's Dr. Strange movie, but the author must have been psychic! 🤣🤣🤣 5y
Brooke_H @rretzler I know, right?? That‘s why I included it. So funny. 5y
