The Covenant of Water | Abraham Verghese

Pickpick

A beautiful family saga starting with a young girl married off to a widower with a strange affliction to water in a remote part of Kerala, India. This book covers almost 80 years following the family through happiness and sadness, love and loss, death and birth. Yes, the book is very long but honestly I would have read another 700 pages to stay with this family!

😂😂I absolutely adore my husband to bits. This ability of his, though,to fall asleep in seconds, drives me up the wall!Love to see it reflected. The first few short stories weren't too good, but the second half of the book is quite excellent, and I don't enjoy short stories.Highly recommended. Thanks,#GroveAtlantic #NetGalley #MilkBloodHeat!

Congratulations Book Release Day to Jill Watts for her book, The Black Cabinet, which is a fascinating read. This book is about Mary McLeod Bethune head of FDR‘s New Deal work program for African American Youth. She was the “first African American woman to lead a federal division”.
