Moray_Reads I've enjoyed Haig's non fiction and his children's books but this is how I've felt about all his adult books. It's too much and instead of making me smile it makes me roll my eyes. This one's still tbr (maybe) 4y
Cinfhen I guess I‘m a bit of a cynic and I kind of went into the book with low expectations @Moray_Reads I was able to #BorrowNotBuy and that suited my needs 4y
Vansa This book was terrible! Nora is quite annoying, quite honestly. The story is so silly, and I found the basic conceit terribly flawed- how can she decide what makes her happy when she's just flung into situations? The entire glacier bit really annoyed me.Also I find this bad advice-its good to get medication from actual practitioners. 4y

mollyrotondo Oh I‘m so glad you and the commenters felt the same way as me about this book 😂 I just finished it today and I really thought it was so sappy and made suicidal thoughts seem like they can be reversed just by saying life is beautiful. It was too superficial for me. 3y

Not sure what to conment back I know a lot of people loved it but I found it like you said too “heavy handed” in delivering its message. I also believe suicidal thoughts deserve treatment. So I guess I‘m in the minority too 😂. 3y
