Mehso-so

This book was all over the place. The author had lots of interesting ideas for a book but obviously not enough information for just one, so she just threw it all into this book. Much more content about Truman Capote & In Cold Blood & less about TKAM than I was expecting. And for such a slim book, this one felt long. #MoreMenThanYeah Bookclub discussion should still be good. #NonFictionChallenge23 #HarperValleyPTA 😜 @Riveted_Reader_Melissa

TrishB Not feeling the need to read that! 2y
tpixie Sad to hear - I‘ve been wanting to read. I Heard the author virtually early in lock down. It sounded interesting. She did say that Harper Lee was only a cameo. sounds like her publisher must have done a disservice- using Harper Lee‘s name to help a debut novel. 2y
Cinfhen It was VERY misleading @tpixie @TrishB although the author definitely did a lot of research and tried to tie all the threads together 2y

Deblovestoread Grateful for the review as it‘s been on my kindle forever and now there‘s no hurry to move it up 😀 2y
Megabooks Great review! I‘ll skip this. 💜 2y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I remember hearing Harper Lee did so much work on In Cold Blood, but didn‘t really get the credit she deserved… I thought this might go into that a bit. 2y
Cinfhen Yeah, I was actually surprised to learn so much about Lee & Capote‘s friendship and work relationship @Riveted_Reader_Melissa it was pretty fascinating to discover how much of ICB Lee was responsible for and how much of capote‘s true crime was NOT true 🤓 2y
Cinfhen I would say you should still read it one day @Deblovestoread but it‘s not a book you need to bump up your TBR. 2y
Cinfhen It‘s under 300 pages @Megabooks so you might want to try it one day 😜it was just poorly executed 2y
