Wowza. This is the spiciest Hazelwood book. Mainly due to the mc‘s discussing their kinks early on; mainly bdsm, thou never happened. Which they first bonded over. Borderline too much. Lukas is incredible, full stop. Vandy grew on me, and I liked her healing journey. Pen was annoying. What I didn‘t like was how early they got it on together. I‘m not a fan of getting together quick. Overall, loved the characters, not the plot as much.
Book 17 of 2025! Sometimes you just need a good love story! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
May 4, 2025 Page 288 out of 443. Hmmmm I wonder what can happen in these pages... Stay tuned to find out whether it is a positive or negative ending
May 3, 2025 May the fourth be with you! lol Almost May 4th. Anyway, more than halfway through the book and there have been a lot of sexual scenes between Scarlett and Lukas. I am a fan of romance books but if there is too much, than it can be a bit boring and overwhelming too. You get me? Who else is a fan of romance????
Meh idk. I really enjoyed the first book, but this follow up left me wanting. The obstacles felt fairly contrived, and Persephone seemed more reckless and fickle than anything. Her emotions were all over the place and I never felt like we got a satisfying explanation. Hades was barely present, and his actions seemed even more arbitrary and confusing. I doubt I‘ll bother going any further, which is a shame, because I really did enjoy book 1.
What a chonker omg. But it didn‘t feel long — I got sucked right in to the angst and the longing and the confused teen silliness. This book is kept from absolute nonsense by a strong current of abuse (not between MCs) and its fallout, the search for family and a place to belong. It‘s a very engaging read, with a busy plot, lots of action, and a good quick pace. FMC Shannon whines maybe a bit too much, but it‘s not that bad. Gone right into book 2!
I‘m generally not the biggest fan of romance but I expected a little more from Colleen Hoover. This one felt like a forceful stringing of cliche tropes and moments with no real substance!
Especially when you come to know why the book is named Heart Bones *cringe*
Taylor‘s dared to take home the hottest man at a sorority party. She chooses Conor, & he goes w/ her, but their charade doesn‘t stop there. They fake date to prank everyone. What happens when it doesn‘t feel fake anymore?
This one was okay. It was a little funny here & there. Had some romance. The writing was just a little cringy.

Hard to believe we are 1/4 of the way through 2025! 🤯
Unless something really hits me over the head, Binding 13 will be my top pick for the first half of the year. I still think about that story. Still two months to go, so it could happen. We'll see what May has to bring.
