People of Litsy! I'm looking for advice/opinions again. I'm considering buying a Kindle Fire because I would really like to get more into audiobooks and digital books. Does anyone have a one that they use for both? What are your favorite sources for audiobooks, and is reading digital books on a Kindle Fire tiring to your eyes in comparison to regular books? ❓❓❓ Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Kristy_K I have one that I use for both. I have the Overdrive and Hoopla apps for audio on there and it works great! I don't read too many ebooks, but I haven't had an issue when I do. It had a "nighttime" option to lessen the blue light and you can alter the screen brightness too. 7y
Aseleener I use my Kindle Fire for reading, but I prefer my phone for audio. Mostly because of it's smaller size - I can listen to it when I go on a walk or use the elliptical at the gym. Kindle Fires do not fit in pockets! ☺ I don't recommend a zk 7y
Aseleener (Ugh, hit send accidentally) I don't recommend a Kindle Fire for outdoor reading. Hard to see the screen. I use my old Keyboard for that purpose. 7y

PandaPanda I second using your phone for audio books, but that may be because I never sit and listen to an audio book unless I am in my car I'm usually listening when I'm moving around in some way. I use the overdrive app and it works well. I use the kindle paperwhite for ebooks and I think it's a lot better on my eyes, there's no glare, and there's a light so you can still read it at night! 7y

Paula3 I love the Kindle fire. It's inexpensive and allows me to go from reading an ebook to listening with whisper sync. Amazon owns Audible as well so if you buy an ebook and want to add the audible experience you generally get it for only a few bucks vs. the full price. :) ps. I prefer to read at night with my Kindle rather than paper. 7y
