My #PassportToScotland box by #LitCube and I won‘t lie, it is a little underwhelming. I haven‘t subscribed in a few months and I was hoping with Scotland being so near and dear to me that this box would make me fall in love, but honestly it didn‘t. The items aren‘t bad, but maybe my expectations were high. A sticker, some cookies, a scarf which is very soft (and my fave item), but the MadForPlaid candle DOES smell good and the book sounds okay.
kamoorephoto I LOVE Walkers Shortbread biscuits! 7y
Kshakal That blanket is beautiful! 7y
BooksTeasAndBookishThings @Kshakal it is a scarf that is definitely my favourite part of the box 😊 7y

BooksTeasAndBookishThings @kamoorephoto I usually have these around Christmas more than any other time lol 7y
silentrequiem I finally had to accept litcube wasn't the box for me. I was consistently disappointed with it. 7y
BooksTeasAndBookishThings @silentrequiem yeah, it used to be that the books were hit or miss, but the items would blow you away. Then they started to dip their hands in every little venture they could, which would be fine IF they could continue the wow factor people originally fell in love with. They just couldn‘t in my opinion. I still love a lot of my old goodies from them, but just not worth the money anymore 7y
silentrequiem @BooksTeasAndBookishThings I really get the sense that the owner is much more focused on her other ventures and litcube has become a bit of an afterthought. Also that she over-extended herself financially setting up the other businesses. 7y
BooksTeasAndBookishThings @silentrequiem exactly. I am all for growing businesses, but it needs to be realistic in goals and still satisfying to the customer. She has failed in that, I think. I would love it if she would put a pause on all of the extras and just go back to the basics until she has the proper financial backing to do the rest. 7y
jackilynn @BooksTeasAndBookishThings I am right there with you. Each month lately it seems I am getting more & more disappointed in my LitCube. I have an ever growing stack of unread LitCube books. I have been debating canceling for awhile & I think the time has come to finally pull the plug. 7y
BooksTeasAndBookishThings @jackilynn yeah, it is sad because you WANT them to succeed and to live your box, but... for that kind of money you can find much more in other boxes. 7y
