5/5⭐ One of those few books that shakes me. The epitome of complex characterizations/relationships. Tackles so many issues in a seamless, realistic, believable, meaningful, critical way: race, sexuality, gender, fame, power, love, history, change, etc. I teared up, smiled in triumph or joy along w/ the characters, fully invested. The writing was tightly, flawlessly, complexly constructed. Evelyn's audio narrator WAS her. #queerlitread #projectnew
