bailedUgh, nope. 👎 Made it 55% and then skimmed enough to see who dunnit and promptly returned the book to the library. I wanted very much to like the MC but just could NOT.
Please do not set me up for a mystery set in a New England small town - on an ISLAND, for godssake - and have me believe that everyone doesn‘t know what everyone else is up to.
And don‘t even get me started on the use of “ayuh” accents. 🙄

so-soThis book was flat and hard to follow. It never seemed to pick up any steam, just plodded along.
A great read. Tense from the start, like a slow-burning fuse. This is book 15 and although I‘ve not read them in order it may be one of the best I‘ve read so far. #sohocrime #billyboyle
