Outstanding children‘s book full of facts about the Statue of Liberty and bright colorful art. Egges focuses on an important detail about the statue‘s right foot, lifting as if to step forward, and why that is important. Beautiful and moving https://cannonballread.com/2023/07/her-right-foot-elcicco/

Inspired by Gittel‘s Journey. If she could immigrate to a foreign country by herself at age 12, I can surely have some faith in myself. #childrensbook

Great children‘s book about the making and fundraising for the Statue of Liberty! There‘s a section in the back about fixing the Statue of Liberty if it helps! I gave my copy to my stepfather‘s nephew Jason as he‘s going to be in recovery from surgery till the 7th of December I believe.

This book makes me cry every time I read it. It is fabulous. The Statue of Liberty is in motion. Because our story is still being written. Because she is meeting her children out at sea. 💙❤️💙 note: the upper left pic I added, but the other is from the book.

And check out Brother Sun‘s song: Lady of the Harbor for more on this theme. 😉 https://youtu.be/X3gOoySyNlI

Book and cuppa tea finished in almost the same moment. This is another good installment in the Anna Pigeon #series. Honestly, it was just good. It had a slow start and spent a bit too much time on ephemera for my taste but it was still good and I didn‘t guess #whodunit before the end.
