I just learned that one of my friends on Facebook was planning to commit suicide last week. He was saved by a friend that simply showed up and took him out of his element for a while. She didn't even know he was struggling.

Remember, simple little gestures of kindness can be the difference between life and death at times.

You are not alone. There is always someone who will be there for you. ❤️

Scochrane26 Suicide is scary. As a therapist working w/ kids, it‘s scary how young they can start having thoughts & attempts. We screen all the time, but a lot of times, it comes out of the blue. 4y

AmyG The holiday season can be so hard. @Scochrane26 my daughter is a school counselor in not a great area. It takes a toll dealing with young, suicidal kids. Heartbreaking. 4y

Scochrane26 @AmyG yes, it does take a toll, it‘s a lot of responsibility. I typically work in not great areas, too. Our area has added a lot more mental health people into the schools, so hopefully, each kid or teen has someone to go to. 4y
