Fun fact: I am very pro-union and I will fight you about it! 😘
Other fun fact: 'Ferengi' is how Medieval Venetians were called by the Arab traders they did business with in Andalusia and North Africa. They were known for being ruthless and exploitative in their pursuit of money and profit. Roddenberry left very little to the imagination, you see. #startreksummerjune

Without a doubt, the Ferengi (especially Quark) are my favorite part of DS9. Quark, Rom and Nog all grew so much during the series, moving beyond the one note "greedy capitalist" mold they were originally cast.
