Has anyone used the Libby app? My librarian signed me up for it and I'm a little disappointed. It seems to have cheesy romance books and a bunch of other things I'd never read....maybe I'm not searching right? Youre supposed to be able to track your reading too, but I haven't figured out how. Tips appreciated!

Tamra I‘ve been using Libby just as I had Overdrive - I have access to whatever my library has available. 6y
GoldenGirl @Tamra That's what I dont understand. There are books at my library that aren't on Libby...I've not heard of Overdrive. I'm gonna check that one out too. 6y
Tamra @GoldenGirl Hmmmm, I would call your library and ask. 6y

RebelReader My library doesn‘t have a downloadable copy of every book. They have to buy them. You are at the mercy of your library‘s purchaser and some you can only get on Audible because they have the exclusive rights. 6y
ElleSkel I would definitely check in with your library. Libby is not like HOOPLA, it is just a way to access the audio/ebooks your library has in its digital collection. That being said it may be that your library does not have much digitally yet. It could also be that you are filtering it to just browse romance too. I hope you figure it out because I really enjoy using Libby! 6y
Soubhiville I love Libby. I haven‘t seen any tracking abilities from it, but I haven‘t looked for that either. I suppose it depends on what your library has available. I would ask a librarian too. Also, there‘s an option to Ask Libby where you can send comments and questions. Good luck! 6y
GoldenGirl Thanks yall! I downloaded Overdrive too and it seems much easier to use. 6y
SaturnDoo It's my understanding that Libby is a new app by Overdrive and is supposed to have the same collection of titles that Overdrive has, just a different way to access them. Libby doesn't have all the same functions yet as Overdrive. 6y
Redwritinghood It depends on what your library buys, so hard to say. I like it, but Hoopla is much better in my opinion. 6y
Purrfectpages I have used Overdrive for a while, but downloaded Libby to compare. I honestly don‘t see a difference. 6y
GoldenGirl So after reading all the comments and comparing Libby and Overdrive (and texting my librarian for more help!) I've figured out that Overdrive is better (for me at this point) bc our library is still working towards digital copies for the Libby app. In the last yr or so we have gotten a whole new staff and a huge #Tocker grant to upgrade our library...which was just awful to say the least. #publiclibraries #readmore Thanks for all y'alls input! 6y
