I liked how this book calls out white feminism in my hometown.
But mostly it is about a queer young woman trying to find herself and striking out on her own, only to realize the pedestal we place some on we shouldn't.
Happy #YAPride to me! ECHO AFTER ECHO showed up at the store yesterday and I snatched it up right away. It's about a girl in high school working to solve a series of deaths (murders?) at her theatre, and the lady lighting director that she's falling for. It's a potentially magical mystery with a queer girl romance set in a theatre. What's not to want?!
I couldn't let #NationalComingOutDay go by without out a shout out.
These are just a few of my favourite LGBTQ reads - don't hesitate to ask me for more recommendations though on any day of the year.

pickI finished my first #readproud #YAPride book! I loved YOU KNOW ME WELL by @nina_lacour and David Levithan, especially the strong friendships between queer teens. I'd be lying if I said I didn't get choked up at the end. #queerya
