I love the Riverhead book covers
New audiobook!
Hope this one is better than the last one I listened too.

This was so so so so good. Once I started it I could barely put it down. Whittall writes these characters so well and they really come to life on the page. It was a difficult subject but she handled it was great respect and empathy.
Female assassins!
Now that the full 6 issues of this are outve been binge reading it all day.
So many amazing books out this week - I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed 🙌
Some more of my audiobook holds came in from the library - can I listen to all three in 21 days?
I know I'm a little biased since Atwood is my favorite author but this was a fantastic re-imagining of the Tempest. It managed to be both serious and playful - honestly it was just so much fun to read. I can't wait to check out the rest of the Hogarth Shakespeare series.
I have to admit I never listened to Brownstein's band but just learning about the growth of a particular music scene and the coming together of the group is fascinating.
I assumed that this book would make me laugh but I wasn't prepared for it to make my cry. Twice.
This book is dark. Super dark. But it is also one of the most addictive reads of the year. I've read other Wasserman novels before and though they were good they never wowed me. But she knocked it out of the park with this one.
This is one of the better thrillers I've read lately. It kept me guessing for most of the novel - which is a huge plus. I hate when I can see the ending coming from a mile away. But even though the mystery was good, the characters felt a little flat so it was hard to be too invested in the outcome.

I couldn't let #NationalComingOutDay go by without out a shout out.
These are just a few of my favourite LGBTQ reads - don't hesitate to ask me for more recommendations though on any day of the year.

Whenever I look at this book I get Girls on Film by Duran Duran stuck in my head. 🎥🎶

Sorry to say this one didn't work for me. There was almost no character development and it often felt like it was sacrificing plot for fight scenes.
Fall = mystery novels

Another fabulous novel from Erin Bow! I highly recommend this series.
So many audiobooks so little time! Starting To The Bright Edge of the World today and will hopefully be able to squeeze the Amy Schumer one in as well before it expires.

This was definitely a unique take on Wonderland and I am curious to see where the story will go next. But some of the characters felt a bit flat and I wouldn't recommend it on audio - all of the villains sounded like cartoon characters.
