pickThe similarities in setting, character types, historical references, etc, to those in the Elm Harbor series carry over into this #alternativefiction novel by Stephen L. Carter. I knew he would handle it respectfully. Skillful blurring of lines between fact and fiction. Romance is subtly woven throughout the storyline. Edge-of-your-seat impeachment trial setting and dialogue. Surprise ending caught me completely off-guard. #historicalfiction
