This was a fun romp! It‘s actually the type of book I usually hate: over-the-top, vicious, drama-ridden chick lit. But I really enjoyed it, & have to purposely refrain myself from immediately picking up the next one!
I love Kwan‘s writing style, and appreciate this is written by a Singaporean, who understands the nuances present in the novel between mainland & overseas Chinese, new vs old money, etc. And the food! 🍲 😋 #crazyrichasiansbuddyread
