listening to kickass ladies while running make marathon training a snap ? just the right amount of action and fun. Not to mention really smart and funny writing. I'd recommend the audiobook over reading just for the narrator of "Desparado" alone - deliciously punchy especially when she curses ?
itsbrb I've never actually listened to a book while doing a half marathon but I've been giving it some thought. I only listen to book podcasts (I know, super specific) because they change topic often. Any other books you would recommend while running? 8y
CynCruz23 If you enjoy Haruki Murakami, listening to "What I talk about when I talk about running" is excellent. It helped me get into a zen state of mood. Other books that really help me when running are any comedic memoirs, they do an excellent job in distracting you. My favorites so far are Amy Poehler and Chris Rock. itsbrb I just finished the Murakami one and really liked it! I loved Yes, Please by Amy Poehler. I will have to try some Chris Rock ones! Sounds like a great distraction! My favorite book podcasts are What Should I Read Next?, Get Booked, All the Books!, Book Riot and although it's not running anymore they have a TON of old and great episodes is Books on the Nightstand. @CynCruz23 8y
