Annoyingly for most of you, this book won't be out for EIGHT MONTHS, but I wanted to be one of the first to say that you'll be hearing a lot about Jonathan Miles's ANATOMY OF A MIRACLE.... in March.... of 2018.... sorry.

My "Next Four Years" TBR pile is taking shape. A few of these will be re-reads for me.

Jessica Jones/Krysten Ritter liked and responded to my tweet!
Her book BONFIRE will be out this Fall and you'll all love it!
Oh, George Saunders, you slay me.
One of my favorite comics from the 80s is finally being released in a hardcover collection! It's been wonderful to revisit these characters and stories. #nostalgia
It's clearly time for a re-read.

A super fuzzy blanket and a gripping graphic novel.
A book that has been helping me tremendously, and one we could ALL use tonight!
Just some of the many books I've received through the Facebook "chain letter"of books!
The sun loses its thin grip on the air first, turning it cold, making it remember that winter is coming and winter will be long....
Well-written, enlightening, anger-inducing, and funny.
My Labor Day reading... preparing for my class with the authors on Friday!
A charming graphic novel about friendship, growing up, and knocking roller skaters on their asses. Plus, it features characters with great roller derby names like "Roarshock Tess!"
Now that many of the DC Rebirth titles have completed their first story arcs, I'm reading through them and really enjoying myself.
As a huge fan of original Green Lantern Hal Jordan, I was worried about this new series, but it's been nice to see two characters each dealing with their inexperience in different ways.
As a sales rep, I often have to stop reading a book I'm enjoying, so that I can read bits of other books. Too many times I never get back to those abandoned books.
I'm very pleased that I'm finally returning to Luke Dittrich's PATIENT H.M.
A magical book in a beautiful setting.
I finally made the leap, and started reading this.
I see what all the fuss is about.
Surprisingly, for something that is mostly white space, this book contains so much. Humor. Wisdom. Interaction. Love.
Two young girls navigate their neighborhood. A place where everyone has a secret. Special thanks to @SavidgeReads for sending me a signed copy of this wonderfully complex and charming book!
Today I started listening to this audio, narrated wonderfully by Bahni Turpin. What an amazing experience so far.
Last night, I started THE TROUBLE WITH GOATS AND SHEEP by Joanna Cannon, which was sent to me by @savidgereads a few months ago. He warned me that we couldn't be friends anymore if I didn't love it. Luckily, I do love it, and I'm only 27 pages in!

I. Am. Engrossed.
I wish I could just lie here all day and read.
Heading back to the Republic of Gilead.
Once again, Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale do not disappoint. I love these two creators, and will read anything they put out.
(read on the Marvel Unlimited app, which I love, and which is allowing me to tear through so many comics I've been meaning to read!)
"I had no idea that the door I was about to open would be the one that would flood my world with light."
Loved this, and loved that it was part of Independent Bookstore Day!
First in a new series. Imagine England ruled with an iron fist by the aristocracy. Dubbed "Equals," the ruling elite are the only ones with "Skill," or magical abilities, which are hereditary.
I flew through this book and need the sequel NOW please!
Listening to the wonderful audio, narrated by David Walliams!

LOTS of highlighting happening in this book.
I'm re-reading this in memory of the great Darwyn Cooke, who passed away at the obscenely young age of 54 yesterday. This remains my favorite superhero story EVER. And Darwyn Cooke will always be my favorite artist.

Brian K. Vaughan has created yet another comics series that sucked me in. Plus, I've long been a fan of Cliff Chiang's artwork! I'm not sure I can wait until the next trade; I may have to start buying the monthly issues!
Two of the many bookish strips from MOONCOP, the FCBD edition.
On to book # six. I should probably space these last three available books out so I don't have too long to wait for the ninth and final book.
Who am I kidding? Let the three book binge commence!
Fifth book in the series. Awesome as always. Damn cliffhanger.
P.S. This series cries out to be made into TV series. Are you listening Netflix and HBO?
Coconut Oatmeal Cookies with Caramel Drizzle.
(The sign of a good recipe? They look *just like* the photo in the cookbook!)
Labyrinthine. Beautiful prose. Wonderfully constructed plot. Loved this audio!
Two of my favorite exclamations from LUMBERJANES (along with "What the junk?" of course!)
Scratching my geek itch.
Miles brought this home from the school library. I've been wanting to read it too!
#lumberjanes (are hashtags a thing on Litsy?)
Excited to have gotten a copy of this in the mail today!
(Realizing now that I should have waited until tomorrow when I could have photographed it OUTSIDE)
Times arrow is the loss of fidelity in compression. A sketch, not a photograph. A memory is a re-creation, precious because it is both more and less than the original.
NOTE: The new title is THE LAST DAYS OF NIGHT. This book has it all: a relatively unknown historical tale, a legal battle, scientific discoveries, a love story, great characters (all based on real people), & a page-turning pace. It comes out it Sept!
