Our B turns 5 (you read that right) this week. Our family spends Saturdays visiting the bookstore and grabbing lunch together. We still do the library, and our library is AWESOME, but there is something so exciting about visiting the bookstore and hanging out together. And of course we see the changes at home too. It‘s such a fun thing to watch a book nerd grow up. ❤️

HotMessJess @Soubhiville me too!! We‘ve been very cognizant of letting him choose. Last thing I want to do is force him to read and make him hate it. This was a “caught in the wild moment too”. He picked it up on his own! I was thrilled. 3mo

HotMessJess @Jjaxn95 it‘s B‘s new favorite and he‘s in love! We really battled with getting him to sit and read with us for a few months. We stumbled on Dog Man (followed by Captain Underpants) and it‘s now him BEGGING us to read more. My heart exploded! They‘re GREAT books. 10mo

I‘ve spent LOADS of time this week being told how funny Captain Underpants is, by enthusiastic young readers. Or ordering in different titles for children who have read everything Underpants we have. Or just hunting for Dav Pilkey books, cos they refuse to stay on the shelf.

So this evening I decided to actually read one… Turns out they are quite fun. And I did like the Flip-E-Rama section. I might even be up for reading more.

TEArificbooks The Investigators and Agent Moose are similar book series for those kids that have read all Dog Man/Dav Pilkey books 1y
