pickFinished listening to The Clancys of Queens today. This one is read by the author, which (in this case) is a real strength. The memoir is funny and poignant, and her voice (both her real voice and her voice as a writer) is vivid and compelling. Tara Clancy‘s movement between her Italian and Irish families in Queens and a totally different lifestyle on the weekend (she‘s picked up by a limo each weekend!) is fascinating. I highly recommend it!
