pickThe last two books I‘ve read were written for young readers by Australian Aboriginal writers about the stolen generation which, for those not familiar with our history, involved the systematic removal of Aboriginal children from their families. This practice only ceased in the 1970s.
As we head into Australia Day, celebrated here on 26 January, I choose to share these stories with my 11 year-old. I would love to see them read more widely.
