Ever tried erasure poetry? A black marker and page of print are all you need. It‘s also a way to create from damaged books that can‘t be repaired and are headed for a recycle bin. Erasing all the words except those that formed a poem in my head, I wrote an erasure poem about murder at a literary reading tonight. CoffeeNBooks I have my students do this and they love it!! I have an entire class set of Lord of the Flies that was falling apart and was going to be recycled, and my students had so much fun taking those pages and turning them into poetry. 7y
