pickSmashed through this short audiobook at work today - think I zoned out for a bit in the middle because I could not tell you how she got back down the mountain (volcano?) but I had a good time - I enjoyed the accidental pirates and the lush descriptions of the fireworks displays.
panI‘ve read enough of King to realize he doesn‘t always write in “typical” Stephen King style, and this was one of those. Definitely not my favorite of his. Fortunately, it was one of his short stories, so not too much time was wasted.
pickThis was a nice little story. Not my favorite of his, but I am more into his long novels.
Anyway, happy belated 4th everyone!
I saw in an online Stephen King Fan group that several of the members read/listen to this story every 4th. (surprising I have never read this one).
So excited to delve into this one. Its a quick listen :)
When you forgot your book but have to wait for a friend you‘re meeting. Thank heavens for “emergency car books.” Now I just have to remember to replace this one with another one since I‘ll add this to my in progress bedside table stack.
