I have read Hillary Rodham Clinton's books, and this one is my favorite. This is like sitting down for coffee with a dear friend who is reflecting on life. You can feel the fight she still has regarding politics, but the fact that she has found a way to still work for the causes she believes in as a citizen is something we can all be inspired by. I do not doubt that Hillary Rodham Clinton's best years are still to come.

This book talks about Eleanor Roosevelt who was one of the most influential women in American History. It talks about her early life and then becoming the First Lady and what she did to fight for human rights and social justice.

I‘m still not over 2016, and I‘m stress eating and nail biting as we await next week. I still managed a few chunksters in October. #octoberrecap

This memoir is well written and processes her life and policies that she is willing to discuss. I have profound respect for her and liked her more after reading her book. I found her to be intelligent, vulnerable, and a hard ass. Since I agree with her on many topics, I love her lines in the sand of things she won‘t compromise.

Beautifully illustrated story of Claudia (Lady Bird) Johnson, First Lady of the US from 1963-68. She wanted to beautify the roadways and fields of Texas and that was her mission until her death in 2007.

While I ended up liking this better than I thought I would, it‘s my least favorite Krueger book. The plot is disjointed, and most of the plot twists are too predictable. There‘s this shadowy group out to assassinate the First Lady of the US, and I never really understood the motivation for it. I do like our hero, Bo Thorson, though, and Krueger gives him a good backstory. #audiowalk

I can‘t say I‘m loving this book so far; it‘s just okay. I went on a pretty long walk today and thought I had finished it. Nope — turned out I was only at 57%! I honestly don‘t know what else there is to say, but clearly there‘s more. I‘ve never experienced this “I really wish it were over” feeling with Krueger before. #audiowalk We are probably in false spring right now; it‘s so beautiful outside!
