I listened to the audiobook edition, and while I liked the premise and the problem-solving aspects, I thought it ran a little long and I was kind of “meh” about the whole thing; But then I saw the movie which underscored the humanness of the story. I went back and re-read ‘The Martian‘ in print and it has become one of my favorite off-world/other planet stories. It feels like a return to real SF (no magic required!) #GIVEAWAYARTEMIS

I‘m sure The Martian is fully represented in these posts so I‘m going to go for another off planet adventure set in a galaxy far far away.... and these Shakespearean versions are just wonderful, and if you can imagine even better on audio read by a full cast production. Definitely my favorite, just as with the films, has to be the darker Empire Striketh Back #GiveAwayArtemis
I've loved a lot of SciFi novels in my time, from Anne McCaffreys Crystalsinger, Dragons of Pern & The Rowan series, through to more recent reads like The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet & Dark Run. This though is the last SciFi book to really knock my socks off. The world building in this is superb, the characters are compelling & it's a highly original premise. Definitely a 5⭐️read. #GIVEAWAYARTEMIS

I love many novels which are set off planet earth since I tend to like space opera novels. This is the sequel to The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet which is my most recent favorite. This is also my next read. #GIVEAWAYARTEMIS @Liberty
