Thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I learned a lot that I had no idea of regarding the actual history of the time of Jesus‘ crucifixion. Also, learned much about the Bible. Although Gibson insists that his was a “historical and archaeological” account of the final days of Jesus, this reading caused me to be deeply moved and validated my Christian beliefs. He concluded: “The reality is that there is no historical explanation for the empty tomb.”

I‘m pretty sure that my reading interests may be different than most people on Litsy. I had to share though that I find this book to be really captivating and found it difficult to put down today. Plus, it‘s perfectly fitting for this week. That being said, I need to leave it there on the floor for awhile & take the opportunity I have on these quarantine days to catch up on my work.

paulfrankspencer I for one am on board. Maybe you'd like something I drafted up this week. 5y

Second day of appointments: today it‘s therapy and after surgery checkup. In-between the two right now, resting while the husband works, and trying to decide which book to read next, Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan‘s The Last Week, or Sarah Weinman‘s The Real Lolita. Again, actually getting some real sun! #soakingupthesun #summerreads #wheelchairselfie

Dollar Tree #bookhaul that I didn't tell my husband about immediately. Lol Not that he would disapprove of a $2 purchase. It is a rather #Catholic book haul, even for #HolyWeek, but I recently decided that I want to read something by Pope Francis, and the other is concerning a frequent topic on a FB page I follow. And there they both were in the same aisle as the coloring books I was after.

RadicalReader There‘s nothing better than a bargain when it comes to books 6y
SleepyDragon @RadicalReader Did you see the price sticker still on the Pope Francis book? I saved $13 in that one alone! I love Dollar Tree. 6y
