Tuesdays with Morrie | Mitch Albom

This was a quick read filled with wonderful quotes from classic children‘s literature. It is part of my “self care” reading this month and I truly enjoyed it. We all need a little wisdom from Pooh, The Little Prince, Alice in Wonderland, and Beatrix Potter. A lovely, feel- good read.

Buechersuechtling Sounds really interesting and a bit grounding. I‘m sure it adjusts perspective. 6d
Come-read-with-me @Buechersuechtling It does - always a good thing! 6d

This is a rearead, read the first time before I wrote reviews. I don‘t know what I would have rated it then, nor do I recall if I cried. I didn‘t this time. I am not a “touchy-feely” person; in fact, I‘m not much of a people-person. I generally prefer animals to humans. So, I suppose I looked at some of the advice with some skepticism (as Mitch apparently did at the time he was talking to Morrie). It is a quick read, though. It was “ok”.

I read this in the summer shortly after my father passed away suddenly from a heart attack. It was a bittersweet contrast to read about how Morrie and his friends and family were able to journey through Morrie‘s sickness and coming to grips with the reality of living without him. Emotional and well-written!

great, i‘m now terrified of ulcers 😖
quick read, sarcastic & self deprecating. writing this must have been cathartic for her, writing about things you‘ve worked your whole life to conceal is scary & it couldn‘t have been easy for her. i also liked that you could tell she wrote the book herself without a ghostwriter. it‘s a bit scattered & isn‘t filled with crazy stories or broken childhood drama so if your looking for that you won‘t find it.

Kicking off 2020 in the most perfect way. My cuddle buddy, a book and some tea. Could do without the head cold, but at least I‘m cozy. Happy New Year, Littens!! #lennox #catsoflitsy
