It's well-researched, but not expository, and Follett brings the world to life in such a way so you begin wondering if you might just have a chance at opening a wool business yourself. Or maybe even building a little cathedral in your backyard? Definitely don't skip the foreword in this one. What is astounding is how a simple appreciation architectural design could have led to this masterpiece in human, historical, and cultural study that is at once so full of joy and so full of suffering.

The narration by John Lee was brilliant as well. Each character was beautifully acted. 5y
