Beautiful love story that follows Mia who is just trying to find herself and her soul mate. It‘s also magical because somehow Mia is able to go back into time where her true soulmate is. #magical #salemstory #witchstories #lovestory #springreading #kindlereading

Frequent violent episodes, mentions of torture, and child abuse are plot points perhaps implemented to raise the stakes of this novel; however, by using inconsistent narrative voice, breaking the fourth wall only when convenient, and introducing characters only to remove them when no longer needed for plot, the reader is left wondering if this book was written by AI. Basically, I hated this.

I don‘t watch a lot of horror movies so I‘m sure I missed a lot of movie and pop culture references. I didn‘t mind that Lynnette was a hot mess. It made it easier to suspend disbelief. 🔪🔪🔪🔪#scarathlon .#magical monsters work search 169 words 1690 + 21 = 1711

For 9 to 11 year olds. At 400 pages this should last the grandchildren a bit longer than than their normal 200 page books. Although at the rate they devour books, I don't believe it will last too much longer.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

This was an enjoyable read about three generations of women (one being a child) as they move to Cornwall, England for a new start. They move into White Cove and explore the mysteries that surround it and some Cornish folklore. The book does move at a slower pace but it suited the story. I did find that even though it is set in the 1950s, I kept thinking we were in current time (except when the war was brought up).
