Three books I have read that take place in my hometown, Detroit. My father and both brothers were Detroit Police officers, so we lived in the city until my dad retired. Lived there again when my kids were little. Detroit Rocks! #readjanuary #myhometown #mycity

britt_brooke Middlesex is so good! 7y
GlitteryOtters You're lucky you are from such an easy town to find books for...as I read this I was just thinking about how hard this challenge would be for my husband (born in Warren, raised in tiny towns near Bay City & in Bellaire--although at least he is in Ann Arbor now, so that would be a little easier! 😂). 7y
Suzze @GlitteryOtters There are some good mysteries set in Ann Arbor, 7y

GlitteryOtters @Suzze yeah, I used one of them today (most of the ones I found on our library's list weren't Ann Arbor-centric, but U of M-centric, but I managed to find one without "maize" or "maize & blue" in the title!) (edited) 7y
OrangeMooseReads Yes Detroit is much easier than a one stoplight town in the thumb lol 7y
Suzze @OrangeMooseReads I'll bet. But I sure love my Michigan! 7y
