#doublespin was the book club pick (tagged), so I've used the one I'm currently reading for it.
And I've decided on one of the shorter Hardy novels for #9 (Under the Greenwood Tree).

My highland cow minotaur grave cleric rolled November's #Roll100 😂
Roll 1 - 36
Roll 2 - 19
Roll 3 - 9
What are you all reading?
#Roll100 will be back in 2026! I'll post a sign up sheet in December and link to the SG challenge but start thinking about your new list or carry on with your old list

This past June I was on a layover in Jersey City and walked over to Liberty State Park where I was able to take in views not only of Lady Liberty, but also this memorial of the Twin Towers, from the New Jersey side of the Hudson. #9/11 #NeverForget #September11th

#9 from the #bookerlonglist and one that I really enjoyed.
I get the Strout comparisons, from the POV of a monologue that goes off at tangents about random people from the past and present. However, it‘s definitely not the ‘male All Fours‘ - not even remotely. That‘s just a lazy comparison because the protagonist takes off on a road trip without telling anyone, in this case having just dropped his daughter off at college.

1. My 4th time (at least). I appreciate Austen's humor more every time.
2. Henry, but I love Eleanor and would have loved to hear more of her voice in the novel.
3. The early scenes when Isabella is dropping hints about her love interest in James, and Catherine is oblivious. I also love when Catherine finally acknowledges Isabella's true character and finally shows some pluck. ⬇️

How is your summer going (or winter, for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere)? Here in the US, we are halfway through summer 😨. Have you read 7 of your #14Books14Weeks yet? Or have you abandoned the dry-haystack of pre-chosen books for greener pastures?
I magically finished my 7th book yesterday, which would be on track if my reading-vacation hadn't happened in June so I won't have nearly as much time to read the rest of the summer.

I finally have #9 the hubby is on a reading streak as he‘s on his 6th book in the Malazan series so excited for him 📖

Book #9 of 2025: “The Scourge of God” by SM Stirling. I was reallly into this series when I was younger but got behind during/post college. I picked this up at a used bookstore in Florence over the winter and loved it. Time to get the rest of the series!

Tagged book is #9 and in progress but there‘s no chance I‘m finishing it today, I‘m like 40 pages in. So 4 bingos for June.
King of Ashes was the best book of the month. 🔥
2 DNFs and probably 3 more that should have been 😩
