⭐️ As much as it pains me to say this, and as much as I LOVE #Frida...I hated this book. It read like one long magazine article and the random quotes seemed to interrupt the flow of the book. Though it did have its informative moments it also often repeated itself and it felt like page-filler in certain areas. #notrecommended #litsy

⭐️⭐️ Alright, I am one of those that falls into the camp of “Nope.” This book was couched in too many metaphors and tried to cover too many issues at one time and made no point at all. I can deal with a book with a lack luster (pun intended) plot if it has good characters, which this book does...individually. BUT once you place all of them together they make no sense. I just couldn‘t with this book. #notrecommended #litsy

Incorporating graphology to help track down a killer is something I haven't seen done yet. The characters were meh. I couldn't connect with any of them. The plot was okay. Seeing the inside of a cult was fascinating, but because of the dull characters, I couldn't really get into it.

So many issues with this book. Transphobia, homophobia, fat-shaming... And that's just to start. I hated this one.

I recommend reading If I Was Your Girl by Meredith Russo instead. It handles this topic MUCH better.

I felt so indifferent the entire time. The writing wasn't necessarily bad, there just wasn't any sense of atmosphere at all. The characters were all flat & forgettable. Nothing in this story could make me care. I suppose it's just not my cup of tea. I did get peeved when I came across a name that was supposedly in Hindi. Author got her research terribly wrong, as it wasn't Hindi at all, but Marathi. It was a grade-A lazy mistake. #notrecommended
