This was such a good book, the carnival really came to life, it was creepy yet intriguing, I loved the world building in this book, the descriptions were perfect and the story really came to life. The characters were pretty cool with all their paranormal traits, and I really enjoyed the variety of powers we get to see. I loved the storyline, the twists I didnt see coming, and the romance was super sweet! Such a good read to kick off spooky season❤

People with super powers in a traveling circus come to a strange town with a dark danger. A fun ya, good mystery. It telegraphed the twists a little, but I liked the book. I started it over Memorial Day weekend sitting by the pool in dc.

I loved this book!! It was a bit slow but also exciting.
I‘m not really big on romance, and there was quite a bit of that, but don‘t worry! No love triangle! The whole magic/creatures part was a bit confusing to me, but that‘s only at the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I didn't love this book as much as I wanted to thanks to a case of insta-love and a slow start. But it did pick up and the characters were believable and I ended up enjoying the ending. 3/5 stars.

Currently reading this guy and so far I‘m really into it. I also wanna go to a circus or carnival. And I‘m totally feeling Gideon with his tattooed arms more than Gabe which is probably good considering Gideon is more my age. 😂😂😂

I really enjoyed this book. The build up is slow but that gives you time to meet the characters and learn about their lives. I always enjoy a good story where the characters have special powers.

I am really enjoying this book! What a perfect Saturday to be reading as a storm rolls through. ❤️🐾⛈

I went into this book relatively blind. I picked it up based off the rave reviews it was getting since it had been released. Based off the cover you'd think it's a carnival book, but what I didn't expect was ya romance meets supernatural carnival. I would have liked for more about the carnival and the acts and everyone's powers, it was still quite good. I enjoyed the characters and the plot and storytelling was fantastic.

Too many characters, all two dimensional and couldn't relate to any, main was annoying as hell, plot was weak, narration was terrible, took forever to introduce the story, totally a waste of time and a tragedy since I read great things about this book, wouldn't even recommend reading it.

This was about the carnivale rolling into town and, as usual, blamed for the strange happenings and kept apart from the mainstream. However the twist comes when you start to wonder which party is putting the strange into stranger! Is it the townies with their comfortable lives covering dark secrets or is it the carnies who have bought something unfamiliar with them?

As far as a YA paranormal romance goes, this book was fun! It's also pretty predictable and oddly dark, but it's a quick read about a girl who travels with a circus where performers have real gifts...she's abnormal girl, but when she meets a local boy in a mysterious and dangerous town, she needs to step up and take a part in protecting her family.

I actually enjoyed this YA book about a traveling carnival filled with people possessing various powers... except for Mara. She wants to have a normal life and late one night, she ventures away from the carnival and falls in love. Overall I thought this book was original and well written. My only critique is that I felt it could've been 30 pages shorter. Definitely worth picking up though.

I sort of enjoyed this. The events unfolded quite quickly so it didn't get boring, although it was a bit predictable. I really liked Mara as a character. Downside: there were a few elements that I would have liked to have been developed more and I found the writing a bit repetitive. Also, it seemed to end really suddenly.

This was a spur of the moment pick up at the library. So far, so good!

Started reading this while away and some weird stuff is going on. The date is an exact year before my partner was born and I started reading it on the 13th March, and the MC (called Mara) notes how her name is uncommon and yet I see a house named Mara on my travels.

First, I received a free copy from the publisher for an honest review. I liked this book. There were places where it seemed a little too slow and some things a little too blatant. Some of the twists were also predictable. That being said, overall it was a lot of fun and Mara was a great character. The journey was fun. A solid 💀💀💀/5 #Paranormal #ParanormalYA

I'm late on day 16 of #riotgrams this is the #bookmark I'm currently using. I usually use the magnetic page clips, but my mom got me this for Christmas and it's so peaceful. This is from a local artist near where they live in New Hampshire. My parents have a little cabin on a lake up there and this reminds me of summer mornings on the lake.

Where to start? I have to say I totally totally love this book! First 8os and second carnivals and a supernatural twist amazing!

First catch up post: St. Martin's Griffin was kind enough to recognize that we #EclecticReaders always enjoy a traveling circus and shared this novel with us. I liked the idea and the characters, but they revealed some of the twists too early! Still a fun read.

I thought I was going to miss out on #LitsyPartyOfOne but I have the day of and woke at my usual time. So I can celebrate for a couple of hours. Whoo! @Ambrosnazzy

(I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.) This was a fun YA paranormal fantasy w/ a good helping of romance. The story immediately drew me in & was consistently fast-paced, but there were times where I was pulled out of the story when things were overly explained or redundant. I figured out most of the "secrets" ahead of time, but it was still interesting to see it all come together in the end. More below??

When you go to see a musical and the first priority is to find a book.... I love going down to the states to buy my ya novels as even with exchange it works out a little bit cheaper than the Canadian prices plus taxes
