My boss is retiring in a couple months and was starting to clean out his office today. I took advantage of the fact that he was getting rid of some books. #bookhaul 📚

I mean... I love #research as much as the next gal...but sifting through so much chaff can get old, at home on a #quarantine day...

MargaretPinardAuthor True @julesG my eyes do tend to skim over parentheticals and percentages even on a good day... 🤷🏽‍♀️😝 4y

With all of the rereading, highlighting, and annotating I'm doing, this book is going to take me ages to finish. 😂

Returning to some college reading before Mass today. We only had to read the intro in class and I've been interested in reading the full book for awhile. After this one, I have a copy of She Who Is by Elizabeth Johnson to dig into. #catholic

Pickpick

I bought this shortly after the 2016 elections. The title described my thoughts. Then I put the book on my shelf because I was feeling too raw. Recently I thought, “I‘d better read this before it‘s obsolete.” Well, the good news is, it isn‘t likely to ever be 100% obsolete. If you read politically, try this book. For me, every essay was worth the time.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Oh my gosh! I did the same and it is still sitting in my shelf! 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa That‘s funny! You‘ll be interested to see who the contributors are. Some have gone on to new, more public positions. 6y

This book‘s been on my shelf far too long. Even though it was compiled right after the 2016 election, the concerns still exist. Obvi. And I‘m proud to say I got through 90 pages without feeling sick to my stomach. But that‘s all for today ... back to Mary Oliver poems until I feel like I can continue with this book. #resistlist #readersresist #somedaysitsalltoomuchtoabsorb #notmypresident

Mehso-so

I love the idea of this book but am less thrilled with the execution. It is contradictory in places and overall not tremendously helpful. Additionally, it hasn‘t aged well.

The book tagged is actually an older edition as this edition appears not to be in the database.

From the recent WHAT WE DO NOW and feeling more timely than ever :( Practice self care but don't forget to contact your reps about DACA! This book is also a great read.
