pickOverall, I enjoyed this book, though I think it would benefit from being twice as long. It read a bit like a fever dream in several places with lots of action, but not quite enough backstory. It almost read like a screenplay adapted from a book. A fun, quick read.

pickThird and final book in The Blackwell Pages by K.L. Armstrong (aka Kelley Armstrong) and Melissa Marr. Great little trilogy aimed at early teens, and translateable to anyone with some interest in a story based in Norse mythology. It was a satisfying conclusion, though the Epilogue was a little abrupt.
I do live a good “end of the world as we know it” story.

I don't like audiobooks, as a rule. I just don't like the experience. But the one exception is John Hodgman's trilogy of Complete World Knowledge, which my wife and I have enjoyed on long car rides over the last several years. For our recent trip to Indiana, we finally started That Is All, the last volume in the series, and it has not disappointed.

Didn't think I had any black and white books and then remembered this one. John Hodgman's fake trivia is excellent. This is the only one I've read but I want to collect the whole set.
