Finished this right around midnight bringing my book total this year to 30. My goal had been 18 because last year Reading wasn‘t great so I wanted something doable. This is the most I‘ve read in a year in adulthood! Haven‘t decided what the goal will be for next year, want it attainable but also want to push myself. How do you pick your goal number?

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Took me a while to get through this for various reasons, but definitely resonated with me as a single working mom.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 This book lived up to the expectations. An absolutely amazing read. I didn‘t have a similar childhood or life as Tara, but the way she spoke about her trauma and how she dealt with it (good and bad) really resonated with me and my trauma. The importance of education was always emphasized in my home, and this book really highlights that.

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 It kept my attention but wasn‘t the page turner I was expecting. When people asked me for recommendations this just won‘t be one I say, not because it‘s bad, but just because it didn‘t stand out at all.

The problem with reading a book in a series as part of a reading challenge is that you then want to read the rest of the series whether they fit prompts or not. #3 was another great part of this series. I love how she takes a different member of the squad with each book, so they‘re related but also can stand alone.
