Ayoade on Ayoade | Richard Ayoade

#joysofjune totals from yesterday! @Andrew65

Finished off a few (very short) books and managed to read all of All About Love yesterday, and continued listening to the excellent but very long Stamped From The Beginning. I‘m trying to vary my reading for my #blacklivesmatter themed readathon to balance light and dark and make sure I #readblackjoy so I‘ve just started Ayoade on Ayoade. He‘s got to be the silliest writer I‘ve ever read, LOVE him

MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm I loved Ayoade on The IT Crowd! I‘ll have to pick up his book soon! 😍 5y
Emilymdxn @Bookwyrm42 I think his best one is Ayoade On Top, great one to start with! But this one is also a scream 5y
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm @Emilymdxn Thanks! I‘ll check that one out too! ❤️ 5y
Andrew65 Doing brilliantly 👏👏👏 5y

Now that our primary election is over, my real work begins, but I still make time for reading! Here‘s what I hope to do:
📚Finish THE NEW JIM CROW
📚Read CATHERINE HOUSE
📚Start WHY I‘M NO LONGER TALKING TO WHITE PEOPLE ABOUT RACE
📚Find something light & fluffy for balance. 😳

#JoysofJune #Readathon

Emilymdxn Great list!! Idk if this would work as light and fluffy for you but I‘m planning to read Richard Ayoade‘s comedy film books for some light and balance. He‘s one of my favourite comedy writers and does talk about his life growing up black in suburban England but mainly he‘s just so funny. 5y
ChasingOm @Emilymdxn Ooooh, that sounds like another good one to add to my audiobook list! I love him. Thanks! 5y
